Today I’m sharing 6 of my favorite Eiffel Tower Photo Spots, including one special spot I haven’t seen on anyone’s list yet! As an avid Instagram user, I’m always looking for the best photo spots on my travels hence the creation of my photo guide series. Below you’ll find a description of each spot with exact coordinates and my own photo examples. I’ve even included a custom Google map at the end of this post featuring all of the spots. Let’s get into it!

Spot 1: Rue De L’Universite
Coordinates: 48°51’34.5″N 2°17’46.0″E
Starting off with one of the most well known spots, you will find this cobblestone street just steps from the tower’s base, allowing you to capture the true scale of this iron giant.
I visited this spot on a foggy November Saturday at 11am and found it to be lively, but not overwhelming. The street is quite wide, and theres plenty of space to get creative with your shots. With a little bit of patience, I was also able to capture a few with very few or zero bystanders.
Spot 2: Avenue De Camoens
Coordinates: 48°51’34.1″N 2°17’12.7″E
This dead end street is a little farther back from the tower, located on the western side of the Seline River. While it may have a quieter vibe, you can still expect to see tourists at this location, as it has become popularized through social media and blogs. I went here my first night via metro, and found it to be a great starting location for my Eiffel Tower explorations. The Trocadero metro stop is a little over 500m from the street, and from there I walked down to the Tower.
Spot 3: Seine River Front
Coordinates: 48°51’31.8″N 2°17’22.5″E
After my photo shoot at Avenue De Camoens, I continued down to the Seine riverside before crossing over the Pont D’lena bridge. Here I was able to capture some amazing shots of the tower with the light reflected in the water! The riverfront is long, with lots of options for you to get your desired shots. You can go right up to the waters edge through a staircase close to the Pont D’lena bridge, but for the sake of time I took all of my photos from above, utilizing the concrete wall, with standing and sitting shots.
Spot 4: Pont D’lena Bridge
Coordinates: 48°51’35.1″N 2°17’31.0″E
The Pont D’lena Bridge connects the Eiffel Tower to the Trocadero area, and I highly recommend making a point to walk across it during your Eiffel Tower sight-seeing. Not only will you be blown away by the sheer size of the tower while crossing the bridge, but also get to enjoy gorgeous views of the Seine river. This bridge is busy, so getting people free photos may prove challenging, but can also make for some fun and exciting shots that capture Paris’ lively atmosphere.
Spot 5: Champ de Mars Park
Coordinates: 48°51’20.8″N 2°17’54.3″E
This park would be the perfect place to have an Eiffel Tower front picnic! Unfortunately it was cold and damp during the time I went so not ideal picnic-ing weather. That being said, the views from the spot alone were stunning, especially at night as the rest of the area wasn’t lit up, allowing the tower to really shine.
Spot 6: Port De Suffren
Coordinates: 48°51’27.4″N 2°17’26.8″E
My personal favorite location due to it’s more secluded angle and neutral backdrop, although I might be biased as I haven’t seen anyone else recommend it yet!
Located about 350m from the tower, I came across this spot while walking from the Champs de Mars metro stop, and while it may not be the clearest shot of the tower, I think the picture views are still worth your time. I love the neutral aesthetic of the area and the staircase wall is also perfectly positioned for some sitting shots. The area wasn’t too busy, and I had ample time to shoot freely in this spot with my tripod.
As promised… here is a custom Google map featuring my top 6 Eiffel Tower Spots!
