UBeesize Tripod and Selfie Ring Light
Here is the link to the tripod I currently use, and I have gone through countless tripods to find the perfect one. This one off amazon has been the best one I’ve found thus far.
A tripod is one of my must-have content creator essentials, especially when I’m traveling solo. It took me a while to build up the confidence to use a tripod for solo shots, but you just have to remember nobody is watching you (or will care). Using a tripod gives you the ability to capture the perfect shot you’re looking for without having to ask a stranger!
One of the biggest struggles I had when looking for tripods was finding one that was sturdy enough for my liking, while also being light enough to travel with, and short enough to easily carry around and fit in my bag. When I studied abroad I bought one tripod with me that broke so I had to settle with another I found at a local tech store. It was very durable, but heavy and too tall to fit in my backpack which made it difficult to carry around. Upon returning home I searched for a replacement that would still be durable, but also shorter and lighter for future adventures.
Here’s what I love about my current tripod:
Fully closed the tripod is 16″, and extends to 50″. When closed, fits into a standard sized backpack and also comes with its own bag. It’s just over 1 lb and noticeably lighter than my past tripods, while still being sturdy and durable.
The tripod has 3 collapsable leg sections, meaning you can adjust the height to your liking up to 50″. Since each leg is adjustable independently, I find this especially helpful for when shooting on uneven surfaces or for angling my tripod.
It also has a built in level which is great for making sure your photos turn out even and is a unique built in feature I haven’t seen on others.
This tripod is suitable for both cameras and phones. I love the duel compatibility as It gives me flexibility when shooting.
Additional accessories include a bluetooth wireless remote and ring light. I personally don’t use either of these, but know others do and it’s all included in the cost as freebies! The 10″ ring light features 3 light colors and 10 levels of brightness in each color for 30 options total.
Anker Portable Phone Charger
A portable phone charger is another content creator must, especially if you plan on shooting a lot of content on one day! Shooting content drains your battery a lot, and you’re surely going to want your phone to last all day. I used my portable charger all of the time when I was abroad and it’s been an absolute life saver! This is the one I highly recommend, as you get a ton of charge out of it. It is on the heavier side compared to some other models, but in my opinion well worth the extra weight as some other chargers don’t hold as well or charge as fast.
Seagate External Hard Drive
I have a LOT of photos and videos and use my seagate external hard drive to back off my phone and camera. With 1TB of storage, you’re never going to run out of space on this thing and the upload speed is quite fast. I’ve used seagate hard drives for years now and they have never failed me!
Macbook USB C Multiport Adaptor
I love my USB C multiport adaptor as its 7 in 1 design contains 3 standard USB ports, 1 HDMI port, 2 SD card slots and 1 HDMI port. This is the only adaptor I need, and I can easily transfer items directly from my camera to my external hard drive or computer in seconds without needing a ton of different adaptors.
